MENTORING on HIATUS - AUGUST 2024.
Come back in September!
Hi there! If you aim to become a concept artist, are already studying game development, or want to switch from freelance to a studio job, or need some help with developing skills and a portfolio that will allow you to achieve your creative goals, you are in the right place.
I have over a decade of experience in the game dev industry. I spent 3 years working as a Lead Concept Artist at Creative Assembly on the Total War: Warhammer trilogy so I can help you understand the technical limitations and other restrictions of the concept artist job and will express the most important skills that a concept artist can develop.
I will review your portfolio, point out your strengths and weaknesses, and tell you what to focus on to become a better designer. I will also overpaint your artwork if necessary. But mostly we will talk about the industry, what is expected from a concept artist and how to develop the skills that are needed to be an efficient and inspiring part of the development team :)
If your portfolio is a bit more advanced, we can focus on CV, linked in, and networking, I can show you where and how to look for work, and tell you what you might expect from the job once you get it.
If you have some specific questions and areas that you want to improve, express them in a request, and I will see what I can do for you.
Mentoring sessions happen via Discord call with a share-screen. ( my profile name: telthona#0538 )
One session is usually around 60-90 minutes
You will be provided with a link to schedule a meeting in convenient for you time!
